More details
What's in a set
- 26 tags, A to Z, one per seat
- Each tag is 3 × 8 inches: a colored block with the seat letter, and a white writing area
- Letters and colors match the free seating chart
- UV-printed vinyl with a high-gloss dry-erase coating
- Works with regular dry-erase markers (not included)
Installing
- Clean the panel above the seats with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.
- Start with A above the first seat by the door and work toward the back.
- Place each tag on a flat, open part of the panel.
- Peel the front film, peel the backing and press firmly.
Be sure to peel off the clear film on the front. Dry-erase markers work over it, but the tag looks and erases best without it.
It goes quickly. Measure for a neat job, or just eyeball it. A standard bus has 13 seats per side but only 12 windows, so the tags follow the seats, not the windows. If a speaker or light is in the way, move the tag a little; it's always clear which seat it belongs to.
Erasing
A tissue usually does it. Now and then, a disinfecting wipe.
Smaller buses
One set fits a full-size bus. On smaller buses, one set may cover two buses.
Holding up
Our tags have stayed put through hot summers and cold winters, in daily use on three buses in Montgomery County, Virginia, for three years.
